Hawaiian Spare Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c soy sauce
  • 1/2 c apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, diced
  • 1 small yellow onion, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 6 lbs pork spare ribs, cut into serving pieces

Instructions

  1. Place rack in lower third of the oven and preheat to 350℉.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a very large bowl and whisk to combine.
  3. Add spare ribs and toss to coat, until covered in sauce.
  4. Pour ribs into a large baking dish and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. During baking, skim the fat off the top of the sauce, except for 1/4 cup.
  6. Baste the ribs with the sauce during the baking process.
  7. When the sauce becomes sticky, the ribs are done. Remove from the oven the place on a serving platter .
